India-Moldova agreements signed

® India and Moldova signed a Declaration of Intent to establish a migration and mobility partnership. ® The partnership aims to enhance cooperation in labour migration and exchange of expertise.

Indian Coast Guard and AIIMS Delhi sign MoU

® It aims to upskill ICG medical officers. ® The training will focus on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) as per Indian guidelines.

India and Sri Lanka

® India and Sri Lanka signed two agreements. ® A joint statement titled “Fostering Partnerships for a Shared Future” outlined the collaborative initiatives. ® India will provide financial assistance to 100 students annually from University of Jaffna and Eastern University in Sri Lanka ® India provided a grant of $14.9 million for a signalling project on the Maho-Anuradhapura railway line. ® India and Sri Lanka signed two agreements on double taxation , capacity building and training. ® India extended financial assistance of $20.66 million to settle payments due for completed projects under existing Lines of Credit (LoC). ® India, Sri Lanka, and the UAE agreed to build a multi-product pipeline from India to Sri Lanka. ® India and Sri Lanka are working on a solar power project in Sampur . ® India will foster cooperation between Start-up India and Sri Lanka’s ICTA. ® This will support Sri Lanka’s Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) promoting UPI digital payments.

National Turmeric Board launched in New Delhi.

® The board will be headquartered in Nizamabad, Telangana . Palle Ganga Reddy will be its first chairperson. ® The board aims to boost farmers’ income and increase turmeric production, especially in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana .
