Karnataka is

India’s leading silk producing state by 2024.

Karnataka contributes more than 70% of the total silk production in India. It is followed by Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Tamil Nadu and Meghalaya The state has different varieties of silk including mulberry, tasar , eri and muga silk.

With 10,910,000

tonnes of millet production, India will be the world’s largest producer of millets by 2024.

India is followed by Nigeria, Niger, China and Mali. Rajasthan is the top state at the state level, producing 27% of India’s millets despite its arid landscape.
