World Asthma Day – May 07

Every year on the first Tuesday of May, we celebrate World Asthma Day. This day is all about raising awareness about asthma, a long-term lung disease that affects millions of people around the world. This year, the Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA) has chosen the theme “Asthma Education Empowers”.

International Labour Day & Labour Day is celebrated on May 1 every year.

In India, Labour Day is referred to as Antarrashtriya Shramik Diwas or Kamgar Din. The first May Day was celebrated in Madras (later Madras) in 1923 by Singaravelar’s Hindustan Labour Kisan Party. May1: Maharashtra Day It is also known as Maharashtra Diwas in Marathi. The state of Maharashtra was formed from the division of the Bombay State on 1 May 1960. May1: Gujarat Day The state of Gujarat was formed on 1 May 1960.
