RBI Restrictions on Mis-selling of Insurance

  • Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman held consultations with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Central Board following the presentation of the Union Budget 2026–27 on February 1 in New Delhi.

Cargo Handling Capacity of Indian Ports to Reach 1,000 Crore Tonnes by 2030

Tamil Nadu Electoral Rolls 2026 – 5.67 Crore Voters after SIR

RBI Monitoring IDFC First and AU Small Finance Bank Issue

National Monetisation Pipeline 2.0 – ₹10 Lakh Crore Target (FY26–FY30)

  • The Central Government has launched the second phase of the National Monetisation Pipeline (NMP 2.0), setting an asset monetisation target of ₹10 lakh crore for the period from FY26 to FY30, as announced in the Union Budget FY26.
  • For FY26, the government has set a monetisation target of ₹2 lakh crore.
  • Under NMP 2.0, 12 sectors have been identified, with highways, multimodal logistics parks (MMLPs), and ropeways accounting for ₹4.42 lakh crore (26%), followed by the power sector with ₹2.76 lakh crore (17%), and railways (₹2.62 lakh crore) and ports (₹2.63 lakh crore) contributing about 16% each.
  • Coal assets are expected to generate ₹2.16 lakh crore, and mines about ₹1 lakh crore over five years.
