25% Manufacturing Share in GSDP

® Tamil Nadu has achieved 25% manufacturing share in GSDP, ahead of the national average of 16% ® Aims to become a $1 trillion economy by 2030 ® Leads India with over 31,000 active factories and ranks top in non-oil exports ® Contributes 15% of India’s total exports with less than 6% of the population ® Major export shares: 41% electronics, 38% footwear, and 45% automobile components ® Target set to raise electronics exports from $14 billion to $100 billion

Honoured at Eurasian Group (EAG) Plenary for Anti-Financial Crime Efforts

® Supriya Sahu, Additional Chief Secretary, Departments of Environment, Climate Change, and Forests, Government of Tamil Nadu, was honoured for her contribution to the fight against financial crimes. ® The recognition was conferred at the 41st Plenary Meeting of the Eurasian Group (EAG) held in Indore, in November 2024. ® She was among a select few individuals acknowledged for exemplary leadership and service in strengthening efforts against money laundering and financial crime. ® The EAG is a regional body affiliated with the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), promoting international cooperation in combating illicit financial activities.
