Improved SARAT launched

® INCOIS , under the Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES), has developed an upgraded version of the Search and Rescue Aid Tool (SARAT) . ® The upgraded tool offers improved accuracy and utility to Indian Search and Rescue (SAR) agencies. ® Users can choose from 60 types of missing objects based on their shape and buoyancy. ® SARAT was launched in 2016 and has been actively used by the Coast Guard.

Kisan Samriddhi Market Portal Launched

® The Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute (ICAR-ATARI) , Bengaluru has launched the Kisan Samriddhi Market Portal. ® The portal aims to enhance market reach, transparency, market access , and fair pricing. ® The portal is currently operational in Karnataka , Kerala , and Lakshadweep . ® It connects KVKs, farmers, agri-entrepreneurs, and consumers.

Kisan Kavach launched

® Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Dr Jitendra Singh launched India’s first anti-pesticide bodysuit, “Kisan Kavach”. ® It was developed by the Regional Centre for Biotechnology (BRIC)-inStem, Bangalore , in collaboration with Sepio Health Pvt Ltd . ® The suit costs ₹4,000 , is washable, and reusable for up to a year. ® It deactivates harmful pesticides upon contact. ® The number of biotech startups in India has crossed 8,500. ® The goal is to achieve a $300 billion bioeconomy.

Battlefield tourism in India

® The Ministries of Defence and Tourism , along with the Indian Army, have launched the “Bharat Ranbhoomi Darshan” app and website. ® It allows civilians to visit battlefield locations along India’s borders.
