Sanraksha Mobile
App Launched

The Indian Railways has launched the ‘Sanraksha’ mobile app to enhance railway safety by training staff and improving capacity building.
®
The project was first implemented in the Nagpur division.
®
The app will be rolled out across 16 railway zones.
®
It is integrated with the Rail Madad portal and ERSS via helpline number ‘139’ for quick complaint redressal.
Ken-Betwa River Linking Project
® PM Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for the Ken-Betwa River linking project in Khajuraho, Madhya Pradesh .
® The Union Cabinet has approved ₹ 44,605 crore for this project.
® The project aims to transfer surplus water from both rivers in the Bundelkhand region, covering parts of Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh .
® This project will generate capacity of 100MW of Hydropower and 27MW of solar energy. This will implement in 8 years.
India to host WAVES Summit
® India will host the World Audio Visual Entertainment Summit (WAVES) for the first time.
® Its main purpose is to showcase India’s creative talent and position it as a global hub for content creation.
® The summit will be held in February 2025 in New Delhi .
E-Shram portal

The E-Shram portal , launched in 2021 , has recorded 30.48 crore
registrations of unorganised workers as of December 2024 .
® It was launched by Ministry of Labour and Employment (MoL&E).
® It is the world’s largest database for unorganised workers.
® This portal creates National Database of Unorganized workers (NDUW) to deliver welfare schemes & Job opportunities.
® A total of ₹704.01 crores were allocated for NDUW for FY20 to FY25.
