2024 World Press Photo of the Year award

Reuters photographer Mohammed Salem won the prestigious 2024 World Press Photo of the Year For clicking a photo of a Palestinian woman cradling the body of her five-year-old niece in the Gaza Strip.

Padma awards 2024:

The Padma Awards 2024 have been announced, and the list includes 132 recipients, with 30 of them being women and 8 from the categories of foreign non-resident Indian (NRI), person of Indian origin (PIO), and overseas citizenship of India (OCI). The awards are conferred in three categories: Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan, and Padma Shri.
